Everything else can wait, but your search for God cannot wait.

~ Paramahansa Yogananda

Philadelphia Meditation Group is composed of local members and friends of Self-Realization Fellowship, a worldwide nonprofit religious organization with headquarters in Los Angeles, California. Self-Realization Fellowship was founded in 1920 by Paramahansa Yogananda for the purpose of disseminating Kriya Yoga, a definite scientific technique for attaining personal experience of God. Through its worldwide service and teachings, Self-Realization Fellowship seeks to awaken a greater understanding of the harmony underlying all true religions, and a fuller expression in this world of the love that unites all people when they realize their oneness in God.

Weather Emergencies
If heavy snowfall or other inclement weather makes traffic conditions hazardous, our services may be cancelled. Please check this web site or call 610-354-9687.

Newcomers to the Chapel
Newcomers are always welcome to attend our services. Those who have not practiced meditation before and are unaccustomed to sitting for long periods of silent meditation may find it best to attend the Readings Service at 11 A.M. on Sundays as their introduction to the SRF teachings.

Books, CDs and DVDs
A wide selection of Self-Realization Fellowship inspirational materials is available for sale in our chapel, including books and audiotapes of our Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda. We have SRF videotapes as well.

Donations
Checks or money orders given at our regular Sunday services should be made out to Philadelphia Meditation Group. Checks or money orders given at our special services should be made out to Self-Realization Fellowship.

Chapel Cleaning
We maintain our chapel after services on the last Sunday of the month. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Bhagavad Gita Study Group
The Bhagavad Gita Study is complete and a fresh round will begin after the completion of Second Coming of Christ Study Group.

The Second Coming of Christ Study Group
On the first Sunday of each month, from about 12pm to 1pm we read and reflect upon passages from Paramahansa Yogananda's book: "The Second Coming of Christ: The Resurrection of the Christ Within You." If you have one, please bring your copy.
