Philadelphia Meditation Group Services

Those who come to the Self-Realization Fellowship services regularly, not attracted merely by the talks but seeking inward spiritual help, shall receive what they seek from God. I want them to know whether they come now, while I am in the body, or afterward, the power of God shall flow into them just the same, and shall be the cause of their salvation.

So come regularly, I know that those who do so have changed; I can see it in their eyes and faces. In that regularity and steadiness you shall find God-realization.

Service Schedule

Sundays:

(Note: There are breaks included in the schedule, for simplicity's sake the schedule was listed as above. For example the Sunday meditation may run from 10am - 10:55am and the Readings Service may begin at 11:05)

Early Morning Service: 7am - 9:30 am.
You may enter the chapel quietly at any time during this service.

 
Devotional Chanting: 9:45am -10am
We sing several of Paramahansa Yogananda's Cosmic Chants, to awaken devotion to God.

Meditation Service: 10:00am -10:55am
The Meditation Service consists of prayers, chants, a reading from Paramahansa Yogananda's writings, and a period of approximately 30 minutes of unbroken meditation.

Readings Service: 11:00am - 12noon
The Readings Service includes prayers, chants, and short periods of meditation. The Readings Service also gives scriptural commentary of Paramahansa Yogananda as well as excerpts from his other writings. This service is the one that is best suited for devotees who are new to the path of Self-Realization.

 The Second Coming of Christ Study Group: 12:05 - about 1:30pm
This study group meets on the first Sunday of each month, you may stay as long as you like. We read and reflect upon passages from Paramahansa Yogananda's book, The Second Coming of Christ: The Resurrection of the Christ Within You. Please bring your copy.

Bhagavad Gita Study Group
The Bhagavad Gita Study is complete and a fresh round will begin after the completion of Second Coming of Christ Scripture.

Sunday School
The Sunday School is suspended due to non availability of the students.

 Thursdays:

Inspirational Service and Healing Service from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
